Personally, I found land details more useful than water depth, because I needed to find good camping beaches and fresh water sources more urgently than I needed to know how much water was under my kayak! The west coast coverage of Topo Canada v4 is only $44.44 USD for a new MicroSD on eBay, again plus shipping to Germany: The topographic map doesn't show water depth, but it is very good at showing land details. On an Inside Passage kayaking solo, I personally used yet another option, Garmin's Topo Canada v4 map, which is not a chart but a topographic map. It is also guaranteed to work on your GPSMap 62s. The biggest problem for me is the organization from overseas, buying a good kayak, preparing meals for the trip, to poste it staying abroad.
